I-66 EMP Renews Annual Support for Educate Fairfax Programs

66 Express Operator Continues Longstanding Partnership Supporting Student Opportunity, STEM Education and Career Readiness

Fairfax, Va. July 7, 2026 – Continuing its longtime support for public education in Fairfax County, I-66 Express Mobility Partners (I-66 EMP), operator of the 66 Express Outside the Beltway, this month provided $22,000 to Educate Fairfax, the nonprofit educational foundation for Fairfax County Public Schools.

The donation includes $15,000 to support Educate Fairfax’s ongoing efforts to expand student access and opportunity, including support for the Kids In Need Fund and STEM-focused educational initiatives. An additional $7,000 will fund scholarships for students attending the foundation’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Summer STEM Camp.

“Our partnership with I-66 EMP truly makes a difference for students across the county,” said Dr. Lynette Henry, Educate Fairfax’s executive director. “Over the years, their incredible support for our initiatives has made a strong positive impact on public education in Fairfax County and the kids we’re preparing for the future.”

“Supporting education in the region we serve has always been a main pillar of our community outreach,” said Nancy H. Smith, I-66 EMP’s director of corporate affairs. “Educate Fairfax offers meaningful programs that help students access resources, explore STEM education and prepare for future career opportunities. We are proud to continue supporting that important work.”

I-66 EMP’s partnership with Educate Fairfax and Fairfax County Public Schools dates back to 2019, when the company provided funding to support STEM education initiatives at Stenwood Elementary School and Marshall Road Elementary School during the Transform 66 construction project. Since then, the partnership has expanded to support student opportunity programs, classroom resources, STEM-focused initiatives, workforce development efforts and career exploration opportunities for students throughout Fairfax County.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I-66 EMP also provided a $67,500 contribution to Educate Fairfax’s Access for All Fund, helping support students and families during a time of significant need.

In recent years, I-66 EMP has continued to support Educate Fairfax through annual partnership funding and scholarships that help students participate in hands-on STEM and career exploration programs, including CTE Summer STEM Camp and Tech Adventure Camp.

In addition to its partnership with Educate Fairfax, I-66 EMP also supports STEM education and workforce development through sponsorship of regional science and engineering fairs, classroom innovation initiatives and partnerships with schools and educational organizations throughout Northern Virginia.
