I-66 from the Capital Beltway (I-495) to Gainesville now features two Express Lanes and three General Purpose lanes in each direction. All travelers on I-66 now benefit from a more reliable travel experience. The Express Lanes are dynamically-tolled, adjusting to maintain a smooth flow of traffic. An E-ZPass is required to use the Express Lanes. Vehicles with 3 or more passengers (HOV-3+) can use the Express Lanes toll-free. There is no cost for using the General Purpose lanes.
