I-66 EMP Makes Annual Donation to SPARK for Mobile STEM Lab Serving PWC Schools

Donation Strengthens Partnership Between 66 Express Operator and Prince William’s Educational Foundation

Manassas, Va. October 29, 2024– In a check presentation held last week, I-66 Express Mobility Partners (I-66 EMP) donated it’s largest amount to date to SPARK, the educational foundation for Prince William County Public Schools.

The $25,000 donation will be put toward the acquisition of a new mobile laboratory supporting STEM education in the county.

“SPARK stands for Supporting Partnerships and Resources for Kids, and we couldn’t be happier with our partnership with I-66 EMP,” said Dawn Davis, executive director of SPARK. “Over the years, they’ve proven to be an unwavering supporter of public education here in Prince William. We’re appreciative of this donation and we’re excited to see the benefits for all our students.”

I-66 EMP’s 2024 donation continues the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting STEM education initiatives in the local community. In 2023 I-66 EMP provided $23,000 to support the installation of new maker spaces at five Title I middle schools in Prince William County.

Previously, I-66 EMP has also served as the platinum sponsor of SPARK’s regional science and engineering fair. and earned SPARK’s Business Partner Award in 2020.

That’s why we’re pleased to work with SPARK to enhance STEM education in Prince William County.”
