June 15, 2018- Transform 66 Outside the Beltway project, located in Northern Virginia, has been awarded by IJGlobal America and Infrastructure Investor for excellence achieved in project and infrastructure finance. IJGlobal, whose annual awards are some of the most prestigious in the industry, based their judging on market feedback and reporting performed by IJGlobal over the course of the year. The Transform 66 project was awarded the 2017 North American Road Deal of the Year. Upon receiving the award, Javier Gutierrez Villanueva, Chief Executive Officer for I-66 Express Mobility Partners said that: “It is a privilege to receive this award alongside our partner, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), for the historic financial agreement we achieved on this project. Virginia is leading the way with this significant milestone for the P3 industry in the United States and we hope it can serve as example for other States on how to successfully utilize the P3 model to meet large scale infrastructure needs.” Infrastructure Investor awarded the project two more awards in the form of the Global PPP Deal of the Year and North American PPP Deal of the Year. The publication, who cover the flow of private capital into infrastructure projects around the world, select winners after a month-long voting process is carried out based on a pre-determined shortlist compiled by Infrastructure Investor’s editorial team.
